Duplicate entries coming into PWA from AD sync RRS feed

  • We have some AD accounts that have two accounts.  The name will be john smith and john smith2 and the NT account will be jsmith and jsmith2.  When we turn on AD sync with only one of the names in an AD group, it will still pull both of them over and PWA gets confused and so does not plug any NT account id in and does not allow people to see tasks.  Does anyone know why this would happen?

  • This can occurs when AD accounts are reused. For example, a user leaves company, the AD account is deleted and then another user joins the company and company gives him the same AD account.

    These scenarios are difficult to resolve and takes a lot of time and examination in the event log.  Once the AD is clean, it works very well,
