folders redirected by group policy not working properly

  • Hi all,

We are using Folder Redirection using Group policy in our AD. Our AD has one Windows 2008 Server and two Windows 2012 Servers.

Documents and Desktop are redirected to a server in locations  "\\SERVERNAME\Documentos\%USERNAME%\Mis Documentos" and "\\SERVERNAME\Escritorios\%USERNAME%\Escritorio"

It worked fine, but after some changes in our policies, it stop working fine for some users. Documents folder are finely redirected to the server but Desktop remain at local computers.

I have reviewed the policy and it seems to be fine, both, desktops and Documents have the same config.

Any Idea of what might be wrong? Why is it working fine for documents and not for desktops?

    Thank you

    Best regards.

  • Hi David,

Based on the description, we can run command gpresult/h gpreport.html to collect group policy result report to check how policy settings are being applied. Besides, we can also check Application logs in Event Viewer to see if some related events were logged.

    Best regards,

    Frank Shen
