Website hang after virus attack RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi guys, any one encounter same problem. i got one workstation which was hit by a virus. Use Avira, Malwarebytes,  Norton SEP and Microsoft Security Essentials,to remove the virus.

But i already remove Avira and Malwarebytes from the system in order not to cause any mess up on the antivirus software.

Now the PC works fine but the problem is when the user visit some sites like those sites that requires Java software it is unable to go through. It will just hang halfway and task manager will show not responding.

But Norton SEP and MS Security Essentials cannot find any virus, i already did a full scan. Any ideas what's causing the problem?

Don't want to format the PC cause got a lot of legacy software installed on that workstation. Please help, any ideas is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Gugly, i had reinstalled Java to no avail. Do you think there's some settings on the registry that the virus messed up?

    Thanks.
