Windows 7 MDT Deployment Fails on UEFI RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,  I am having an issue on a UEFI deployment.

What is happening, I am taking an existing good deployment (deploys fine in BIOS Mode) for Windows 7 and dropping it on a computer that has UEFI enabled.  When it boots up, I get no Bootable devices available.  I can take the same workstation and deploy Windows 10 to it. No problems.  Any ideas?

    Windows 10 LTSB, Windows 7 SP1 both x64

    MDT 2013 Update 1

Dell Optiplex 990, Dell Optiplex 9020.

  • Windows 7 supports uEFI, however it does *NOT* support secureboot, so ensure that secureboot is disabled in the Firmware. YOu must do this manually.

Additionally, some people have had better luck enabling CSM mode (on dell this is LegacyOROMs ).
