Exchange 2007 Mail Forwarding RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all. I have an issue. I can forward emails from one internal mailbox to another internal mailbox. However, if I try to enable forwarding to a contact with an external email address it does not go. Has anyone ever seen this? What can i do to resolve this issue. This issue is happening in my exchange 2007 email environemnt.

  • Make sure that "Allow Automatic Forward" is selected on default Remote Domains settings.

  • Be carefull with the Allow forward and Allow reply. it can cause mail loops and not to mention leakage of confidental material to Internet.

If you  really need this feature tuned on you can enable it per destination domain by creating a new remote domain configuration and only have this setting applied on the specied domain instead of allowing it to all internet.
