Enable Skype user in a hybrid environment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We are migrating from Lync Server 2013 to Skype Online.

We have a hybrid configuration and most users have been migrated.

Now we need to create some new users and enable them for Skype Online. It seems, we have to enable them on-premise first and them migrate them. Is it not possible to enable then directly in Skype Online?

    Thanks.

    /Michael

  • Hi there. In hybrid you always need to enable onprem and then move user to o365. This is to get user populated in onprem databases otherwise your other Lync users will not be able to comm with new user

  • I should mention, that the new users have been created in Active Directory, they have been synced to O365 and they have an O365 license.
