  • Event id : 8260, Source : EXCDO, Category: General.

An attempt was made to save an appointment with the subject "FW: Name Performance Exchange Pursuit Review (EPM)" to mailbox email_id@domain_name.com. The duration of the appointment was too large, so it was not saved.

Event ID: 8206, Source EXCDO, Category: General

Calendaring agent failed with error code 0x80040219 while saving appointment.

  • Hello,

Does the Event 8260 warning event ID also occur with the 8199 and 8206 error ID?

These event IDs occur because the Exchange Server cannot save a repeating appointment that has a duration of more than two years (730 days). It does not indicate any issues but only a warning message. We can safely ignore the error event ID or try the following workaround solution:

    1. Contact the problematic user and let him delete the appointment and re-create it with duration of less than two years (730 days). Especially for the re-occurring meetings.

    Thanks,

    Simon

  • You could be running into the 1300 recurring meeting limit.

1,300 recurring appointment limit fixed in E2k7 SP1 Update Rollup 1
