  • Hi,

First, I would like to confirm the following questions:

    1. Can you print a document from Notepad or Word successfully?

    2. Is the printer a network printer or a local printer?

At this stage, it's highly recommended to print a file from Notepad for a test. If the error persists, please let me know. Otherwise, I suggest you change the password for HomeGroup and then print it again.

If the issue still occurs, please upload the picture to Skydrive (www.skydrive.live.com) and share the link to me.

    Thanks,
    Novak

  • I have exactly the same problem.  Everything else prints fine.
Not sure what value there is to adding an image of the erro message, but as requested of WLMAC, you can see it at

It shouldn't matter, but in case it does, my browser is Firefox and works just fine for everything else.

  • Reset your default browser back to IE.

  • Reset your default browser back to IE.
I was having the same problem and amazingly, that fixed it.
Which just begs the question: WHAT has the BROWSER got to do with the ability to click "print" on a NON-browser screen?
That is an AMAZINGLY stupid design.

  • I had the same problem as well.  I reset the default browser and bam!...it printed.  Good find friend.  I'm very impressed.

  • This is also true for all versions Windows 10 as well.

Go to Start-> Settings-> System-> Default App-> and under "Web Browser" You must Select "Internet Explorer".

As of 09/23/2015 No other browser under this option will solve this issue, not even Edge.
