Get-DnsServerZone RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

I am totally new to powershell. I have installed Windows Server 2012 datacenter on a Virtual Machine and tried to run a command -- Get-DnsServerzone

Error -- Failed to enumerate zones from the server DC. PermissionDenied: (DC:root/Micerosoft/......S_DnsServerZone)

I have run this command as domain admin. Please some one guide me what permission and how to change those permissions

    Thanks

  • You may need to right-click and open the Windows PowerShell console as an administrator even if you're logged on as a Domain Admin. Give that a try and see if you still get the same error. You might also try some of the other DNS Get-* cmdlets and see what results are returned.
