• Question

  • I have a laptop and desktop both using Outlook 2013 to connect to a Godaddy Email account. They are both configured identically with IMAP settings. The strange thing is the laptop synchronizes sent items to the "Sent" folder and the desktop synchronizes to the "Sent Items" folder. There is also an Android device connected to the GoDaddy email account using Outlook for Android. It synchronizes to "Sent Items" So the Mobile device and the desktop sync to the same "Sent Items" and the laptop synchs to "Sent".

How can I change the laptop (Win 7 Outlook 2013) to also sync it's sent items to "Sent Items" instead of the "Sent" folder, so I can standardize across all three devices??

  • Hi,

We may try to set the root folder for your IMAP account on the laptop to 'Inbox' and then check if this issue continues. To do this, click File > Info > Account Settings > Account Settings, double click your IMAP account. Click More Settings button, Advanced tab, enter Inbox in the "Root folder path:" box and click OK. Click Next and complete the email configuration.
