Not all Windows 7 editions include Windows Media Player, which is included in Windows 7 Starter, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions and not included in Windows 7 N or KN editions.
In Windows 7 Starter, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions, Windows Media Player is set to a feature.
To turn on Windows Media Player feature, please follow those steps below:
Open Turn Windows features on or off.
Check (tick) the checkbox for Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center.
If Windows 7 N or KN edition is in use, you can manually download and install windows media player package.
