FOG-like managment console for WDT2013? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just setup a WDT2013 server with WDS for PXE on a Server 2012 box for my office, though I've made it standalone and not affiliated with SCCM or our ADS, and I'm using this to replace our prior existing FOG server.

Everythings working, have .wim images created, broken down by architecture and site location, can capture and deploy with task sequences, no problem. PXE works fine.

However, I'm not understanding if there's a similar management screen like FOG where I can group machines, deploy via mac address, etc. I've done some searching, and it seems that a database per deploymentshare needs to be created with the builtin SQLexpress under each WDT deployment share.

Is that correct, or is there more to it?

    Thanks you!

  • ConfigMgr can do that. MDT was never designed to.
