Recovering or extracting calendars from Sharepoint 3.0 restores RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our old SharePoint 3.0 server died and is not recoverable.  We do not have any other SharePoint 3.0 server that we can restore backups of the site to.

I need to figure out if it's possible to recover the Calendars, by extracting them from a restored database.  Maybe we are just looking at the wrong parent level, but I'm guessing that calendar items are pointers in the database.

We have Symantec Backup Exec and are able to restore individual items, like timesheet lists... because they end up in XML format and when restoring the files, we just open them with Excel and that works, because they are files with sizes.

But we don't get files when restoring calendars, just a bunch of items with 0KB and no file to open.

Can you help figure out how we can extract calendars from a restored SharePoint 3.0 database?

    Thank you.

  • Hello

If you have no any other SharePoint 3.0 server to restore the backed up data, you can extract the calendar items using the third-party tool to implement.

    Best Regards
