IE Virus RRS feed

  • Question

Yesterday I kept receiving a popup stating: Your Browser was Hijacked by Trojan.Win32.Agent.akk

You need to clean your system immediately, in other case it can be crashed soon!

I clicked scan and the bug was as it claimed, then it says to remove the virus you need to purchase the removal for $60, from a company ieDefender.com. According to blogs this appears to be a scam. I have run my Norton Scan three times, spoke to them and they said for $100 I can talk to a consultant. I would appreicate any suggestions, you can email me at mwalker2@optonline.net. My OP is Vista.

  • Try going into safe mode, and deleting it that way, or try uninstalling IE and get something like Firefox.

Another alternative would be to look to google. See if there are any free removers or guides on how to remove it. Or just take it into the shop and they'll get it off i think.
