Activate windows 8

  Insert correct key during installation  and check activation after installation. If your installation is not correctly activated, use slmgr function to diagnose and activate.

  Exception is KMS licensing. Check the Technet documentation for correct procedure.

    By default Win 8 Enterprise tries to activate to a local activation server (since most enterprises run that way).

    As Milos said, slmgr is the best approach if you want to activate over the internet . Just type slmgr from an elevated command prompt to see the options.

  Run command prompt with administrator privileges and run the command >slmgr /ato.

  Open an elevated command prompt: Hit the Start key on the keyboard --> CMD [CTRL+SHFT+ENTER]

  UAC prompt authenticate/continue.

  slmgr -ipk ABCDE-12345-ABCDE-12345-ABCDE [ENTER]

  slmgr - ato [ENTER]

  Reboot.
