Vista Search RRS feed

  • Question

  • my request is simple...

I click on the start button, type in a search term into the search box... Now I click on everywhere...

Vista default searches in my user directory - in this case Administrator.

I would like Vista to search instead EVERYWHERE.. or at least the c:\drive...

How can I change this default behaviour, I guess via a registry key?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi

Right click the Start Button and select Properties.

    Click the Customize Button.

Scroll down to the Search section and select the Entire Index option.

    Apply/OK.

    Hope this helps.
