non-MOM API problem on Windows 2008 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm running FCS as a single server install on a Windows 2008 SP2 server. Everything is working fine except for when the MOM Run Flood Detection script executes every hour, at which point alerts are triggered that say that the script failed to access a non-MOM API and the API Name is objMomServerUtils.GetScriptResponseParameterValue(), the error is Access is denied.

The account that is being used for DAS and the Action Account is in the local administrator group so should have full access rights.

Another forum user said they had solved this issue by disabling UAC but this seems a very heavy handed way to do it. Is there a better way?

  • Hi!

Just add the DAS/actionaccount to MOM administrators group on the collection server (mom server) and reboot the computer.

If flood detection script has run you need to manually reset this under the forefront management node in MOM console.

Let me know if you need help finding it
