Reinstallation of Windows XP - Problem with Hard Drive Location RRS feed

  • Question

  • I reinstalled Windows XP after a crash and it installed to secondary slave instead of primary.  How do I fix this problem?

When I go into bios, it says that primary is not detected and Windows installed to secondary.  In addition, none of my CD/DVD drives, USB ports, and installed hardware are being recognized.  The original software was installed as Raid and not SATA.  How can I designate that I want it installed RAID?

  • Do you remember to integrate your raid drivers in your XP CD or insert them at the F6 stage.
