Posting content to Announcements via Email in WSS 3.0 not working RRS feed

  • I'm trying to add content to Announcements using email. I have the incoming email settings setup like this.

    Enable sites on this server to receive email? - Yes

    Settings mode: Automatic

    User the SP Directory management service to create distribution groups and contacts? - No

    Email server display address: mylist at xyz.com (I tried using our domain name as well as the alias setup in the SMTP virtual server domain under IIS)

    Accept mail from all e-mail servers

    And in my announcements, below are my settings

    Allow the list to receive email? Yes

    Email address: Corpannouncements@xyz.com

    Save e-mail attachments: Yes

    Save original-email? Yes

    Save meeting invitations? no

    Email security policy: Accept e-mail messages based on list permissions.

    When I email something to the above email address, I don't see anything in the drop folder or any other folder under mail folder.

    What am I doing wrong here?. Any help is appreciated.
