Default view (AllItems.aspx) is missing in list views. RRS feed

  • Question

  • how to set allitems.aspx as default view if it cannot be viewed in sharepoint designed and in list setting?

    I cannot see it on:

    -List views

    -Views in SharePoint Desginer

But I can access it via direct navigation to URL.

    Fran

  • Do you have Design level permissions to the site?

If you can navigate directly to the page, please try the following:

    1. Navigate directly to the list's AllItems.aspx page.
    2. On the ribbon, select the "List" tab.

Does the Modify View button appear?

  • Hi

Do you mean you cannot get into the edit view page?

Please check whether the view Name and web address are same.

And like Stephan said, the Modify View ribbon.

  • Hi, Fran,

Just like Bren said, as you can access the all items view via url directly, go to the list ribbon and use the Modify view button to save current view as default view.

As you mentioned you can go list settings, you shall have design permission. I assume that is not a permission issue. Anyway you can create a brand new view with all your requirements and set it as default view.

    Best Regards

    Jerry
