Task Scheduler won't start program if the "run whether user is logged on or not" is checked RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have ifsdrives.exe that requires admin access to run.  This program allows ext2 drives to be seen in windows.  What happens is the users close the program and then they can't open it again without admin access which i can't give.   I read a post about using the Task scheduler to get around it.  The task works fine if i have the " run only when user is logged in" checked.  as soon as i switch it to "run whether user is logged on or not" is  the task will say it is running but the program never opens.  I do have run with highest privilegas checked.  Not sure what i am missing here.
