2010 SharePoint Quota Template for Sub Sites RRS feed

    I know how to create a quota template for a top level site collection.

    I have a 2010 SharePoint Farm site collection with no quota templates but I want to make a few sub site within that top level site collection have a quota limited using a team template. What would be the best way to do this?

    I try this in dev. and you are right. The only way I could make this work is configuring another SPSite instance for what I am doing and linking it to a SPWeb sub site.

    Could I build a quota template to a site collection and then export it to the server and then upload it to the solution gallery or add it to the list templates and then create a sub site with it within a site collection?
