  • Question

  • Hi,

Pretty new to all this, but am getting more familiar.

I created a mail template called new incident has been created, the idea being that a mail is sent to the system admin when an incident is created.

    Targeted Class : Incident

MP where this is stored SM incident management configuration library.

    Template design

This is to inform you that  SCSM has created a new incident:

    Incident ID :$Context/?$Id$?

    Time added: $Context/?$TimeAdded$?

then I create a subscription called SCSM Sytem admin using the template above. This is enabled.

I create some incidents using the console.

No mail in the defined recipents in box.

I check work flow, and see that my SCSM Sytem admin appears as active.

can anyone help me figure out where this could be going wrong. I checked in the event viewer of the SCSM server and see nothing untoward, and have also checked the SMTP gw and correct function of exchange for the user named.

    thanks

  • There are some more things you could check:

    - The notification adress (SMTP) of the user in the CMDB is ok?
    - Any other subscription or notification by workflow is working for the user?

    - The email template you created is for which language?
    - Which locale is set for the user?
