  • Question

  • Hi guys,

I'm using steadystate on my win xp home edition pc for 3 months, everytime i install new software in my PC i just uncheck  "Do not warn the administrator......" box just to make sure that steadystate will ask me to save the changes. But suddenly last day after installing my new software game, steadystate did not warn me to save changes even though the "do not warn..." box is unchecked... causing not to save my changes on reboot...so what seems to be the problem guys?... i cannot save any files anymore....need your help....thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

    Thank you for posting here!

As this message only display to administrator accounts, please make sure you are logging off/ restarting from an administrator account:

    1. Click Start and then Run.

    2. Type in "control userpasswords2" without quotations and press Enter.

    3. Please check if the current account is within administrator group.

To save changes, we can also temporarily change WDP to “Retain all changes permanently”. Restart the computer to save changes. Then, restore it to “Delete all changes at restart”.

We can also create a new administrator account and then check if this issue also occur on it.

If there is any update, feel free to post back.

    Best Regards,
