  • Question

  • On the previous version of Word ALT I P S was working, but not any more. Is there any similar command in Word 2013?

  • This is no longer in Word. It was taken out in Word 2013.

Scan your picture to your hard drive. Your scanner should have that ability to make a .jpg or .png or .gif file. Use insert > picture and select the file. You could also scan the picture from within OneNote, which still has the ability to scan built in.

A German user put together an Add-In that puts a button on the Insert menu. You can download it and use it. It puts a button on the Insert Tab (picture below). Click on the link or on the screenshot to download the Add-In. You want the file wd2013scanner.dotm which is in a zip file inside the zip file that gets downloaded.

To use this, you would, with Word closed, put it in your Word Startup Folder. Here's the blog that describes it.
