Wallpaper won't tile... RRS feed

  • I have a Toshiba Satellite C655 & so far none of the fixes here have worked?

  • More information would be helpful.

    Which version of Windows 7 are you using? If it is the Starter edition then you would need a third party tool to do this and would be contravening the terms of your EULA in the process. 

    What size is the wallpaper (in pixels) ? To find out, right click the image and select "Properties" then click on the "Details" tab.
    What is your screen resolution (in pixels) ? To find out, right click a blank area of the desktop and select "Screen Resolution" from the menu.

    The wallpaper size must be smaller than the screen resolution in order to tile it. Tiling does not shrink or stretch the image

    If the wallpaper is not smaller than your screen, try using a graphics program to resize the wallpaper to a fraction of it's size. Save it with a different name (Save As) then set it as the desktop background -> Set "Tile" -> Save Changes.

    My apologies if you have a different problem but there is little to go on in your question.
