.txt files and Notepad functionality RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello.  I am not able to convert a .txt file into a PDF.  I bring the txt file up in Notepad, click print, choose my PDF converter program (CutePDF and/or Bullzip).  However, once I bring the file up in the PDF program, it is still looking like a txt file.  the lines are still wrapped onto the next page.  I have successfully converted a txt to a PDF with these programs before, but as of late, it is not converting properly.

I tried using Notepad2 for 86x but that didn't work either.

    Suggestions?  TIA

  • What version of CutePDF are you using?

Version 3.0 of (free) CutePDF Writer is available here:

    http://www.cutepdf.com/products/CutePDF/writer.asp

This page also mentions that CutePDF requires the installation of Ghostscript. A download for Ghostscript v8.15 is offered on the page.

Under "What's New" the page says that the new version works with the latest version of Ghostscript and provides a link to the Ghostscript website where you can download v9.15.

If these suggestions do not help, you should contact CutePDF support by using the options on this page

  • Also, according to this Wikipedia page -

CutePDF – tries to install the Ask malware web browser toolbar. CutePDF also becomes the default printer in Firefox despite of Windows settings.
