I recently set up RRAS on a server in my house running server 2003 r2. It has 2 NIC's, both online with static IP's. I have a static IP from my ISP with port forwarding and virtual servers set up.
My problem is this:
I can go to a client computer in my house and succssfully connect to the VPN I have set up by typing the internal (static) address of one the NIC's in my VPN server in the connection properties of the VPN connection.
However, when I try to connect from outside the network using the staic public IP my ISP gave me, I cannot. This does not come as a suprise to me, however I am having a hard time understanding how to be able to connect to it from outside the network.
Can someone shed some light on how I should configure my VPN connection properly? Do I need to forward some more ports (like 1723 for PPTP)? I am new to RRAS, (I am a student) so any help is greatly appreciated.
My VPN connection is a PPTP VPN
