Cluster Management Pack limitation? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have the Management Packs Windows Server 6.0.6989.0 & 6.0.7005.0 but:

    - Cluster Shared Volume Discovery Enabled -->Discovered Inventory (Cluster Shared Volume) remains empty...
    - Windows Server 2008 Cluster Discovery Enabled --> Discovered Inventory (Cluster Resource) empty

    - Windows Server 2008 Cluster Resource Group Discovery Enabled

    - Cluster Disk Discovery Enabled --> Discovered Inventory (Cluster Disk) 49 items only the 6.1.7061.0??? incomplete
The Windows Server Operating System (discovery) is 6.06989.0

The system with Operating Systems 6.0.6002 & 5.2.3790 are not even discovered, any known limitations?

    Thanks,
    Dom

The Windows Server Failover Cluster Management Pack supports failover clusters on the following configurations:

This management pack is also supported on the Server Core installation option of the Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012 operating systems.

      Note :
The Windows Server Failover Cluster Management Pack is not supported on the Windows Server 2008 R2 Web and Standard operating systems because the Cluster service is not supported on these editions.

  • Hello,

I have Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1 and they are having the same issue ... waiting for a new Operating System Management...

    The shared cluster disk:

"Yeah this cluster disk discovery was a real fiasco... Though the new 6.0.7011.0 OS MP will discover 2008 (non R2) cluster disks, I just had unreleased version of that MP and it works. They will release it within couple of days."

this was 02/05/2013 when this MP will be released...

    Thanks,
    Dom
