Office 365 Hybrid deployment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Way earlier with Exchange 2010 office 365 used to give us an option to modify the remote routing address using Hybrid configuration wizard. Some how the same config has been implemented in my organization not sure who and why deployed it.So currently all the accounts in my org have a different remote routing address instead of xyz.mail.onmicrosoft.com

I need to migrate exchange 2010 servers to 2013 and eventually have to move the hybrid server role on exchange 2013 too. Can someone update/guide me if there is an option available with me to keep the remote routing address as customized and still proceed on deployment of new exchange 2013 servers.

  • I would suggest to upgrade hybrid server first to Exchange 2013.

Also why you want to keep same remote routing address ? I don't think its going to impact something. Moreever it shouldnot get changed of it's own during upgrade to Exchange 2013.

Also , if you want, you can re-stamp it per mailbox level and not at Org level via HCW. you can use parameter  set-remotemailbox   -RemoteRoutingAdress. Full detail you can refer here:
