Exchange 2007 - Trying to identify which transport rule is responsible.. RRS feed

  • A message was recently blocked by our Exchange 2007 HUB server.  We know this because the message was not received, and in the message tracking results on our HUB server we saw the EvendID was FAIL and the Source was AGENT.  The ClientHostname is the name of our HUB transport server.

    Running "Get-TransportAgent", the only agent enabled is the Transport Rule Agent.

    We've gone over all of the transport rules, about 30 altogether, and none of them appear to have any connection to this particular email.  Not even close.

    Is there anyway to 'drill down' and find out which specific agent is blocking the email?  Even from the powershell the only information to be had is that the message failed and "agent" was responsible.

    This is very frustrating.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
