How to backout of 2012 R2 IPAM configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are considering MS server 2012 R2 IPAM server deployment. I don't have a full fledged TD environment to evaluate the MS IPAM offering. I'm curious to confirm if we can back out of a Group IPAM deployment in the event it fails to meet our requirements. I need to confirm that I can 'unmanage' our production DHCP/DNS servers and return them to the state before the deployment.

    Thank you,

    Steve

  • Hi Ssummit Yes absolutely. If you take the automated GPO option of installation all you. We'd to do is. Remove the GPO's Uninstall IPAM from the Dedicated IPAM server. IPAM is not an invasive management solution and one the database is removed, the discovery will have no lasting effects. This is the IPAM doc link that shows you what is installed and managed. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831353.aspx Yours Ed Please mark this as an answer if it was helpful
