Reporting Database associated with a PWA site in MSP 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a MSP 2010 Project Web App site (PWA site). Reporting Database, published database and draft database are provisioned for the site (this is automatically done when creating PWA site).

If i have multiple PWA sites on the SharePoint server , How do i confirm or validate the reporting database associated specific PWA?

I know that we can view the pwa site settings through central administration and it will show all the databases associated with the PWA.

But, i want to query the SharePoint database and find the reporting database associated with my PWA site.

    1. Is this possible by querying the SharePoint database.

    2. If Yes, How can we do it ?

    Thanks In Advance.

  • Yes, it can be done, but you would have to look at the SharePoint config and content databases schemas.  However the best way to manage this would be to use PowerShell.
