Exporting Access data to SharePoint list - link to View page RRS feed

  • Question

  • I had a need to archive list data to another (uncreated) list.  For this instance I did not want to save list as template with contents.  Instead, I exported to Access, then in Access I exported to SharePoint List and let it created the new list.  The data "transfered" okay, but I lost the hyperlink on the Title column data which links to View.aspx.  Is there a way to retain this, or reconnect it?

    Thank you

There are no mistakes; every result tells you something of value about what you are trying to accomplish.

  • Hi Run4it,

This can easily be accomplished by opening your new list and editing the default 'All Items' view.

Instead of selecting the 'Title' field in the list view, select the 'Title (linked to item with edit menu)' field.

It should take you less that 2 minutes.
