DAG: Storage migration steps

Answers

  • Hi Rivers75,

    The approximate steps would be:

    1. Setup the new storage, present it to Exchange
    2. Build brand new databases on it
    3. Migrate all mailboxes from old DBs to new DBs
    4. After migration completed, delete all old DBs.

    Best Regards,
    Niko Cheng

  • Are your Exchange servers in taxis?  What is this "cab" you're talking about?

  • Why not move all active databases to one node, stop replication, present new storage, start replication...

    Storage (Now): HP 3par 7400

    Storage (New): HP 3par 8450
