Buying a Phone in Vietnam RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

My european phone was stolen by some kids on the beach in Cambodia. It is a shame, but I would still like to have a a phone for the rest of my travels, and hopefully be able to use the same phone when I get home.

The problem is: I live in Sweden and when I get home I need the Swedish languange on my phone. I have no problem with the English language, but I will need the extra three letters we use in Sweden to be able to write Swedish text messages. Now comes my problem: The phones they sell here do not have Swedish as a standard language. Is it possible to buy a phone and set English as a standard language, and then try to change it to Swedish when I get home? The phone in question is a Nokia Lumia 520 (with windows as operating system).

  • You can switch between different languages, See list of supported languages in windows 8 here .

And regarding  extra 3 letters, I don't have any information.
