logitech quickcam(Vista logo) ran 100% CPU on Windows recorder via USB20 port RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Sir,

I installed Windows Vista HomeBasic ( build 6000) and tried to use my Logitech Quickcam Fushion( Vista logo and USB 2.0 certified on the box). First of all, I  plug it into the PC  (CPU is 1.5 GHz P4, RAM is 512 Mbytes) via a USB2.0 port and it enum as a generic USB audio microphone device. Then, I opened Windows recorder and it hung my machine (CPU usage : 95-100% and memory : 45%). Is there an option should I change?

If I plug it via USB1.1 interface at the same machine and the same Window recorder ran OK. However,  I need the USB20 to enable the better video quality.

    Please help,
