Using Powershell to delete monitored Network Device in SCOM 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to delete a Network Device in SCOM 2012 using Powershell?

We created a PS script that will retrieve a network device from SCOM 2012 by using the Cmdlets Get-SCOMClass and Get-SCOMClassInstance.

    "get-scomclass -Displayname "Network Device" | get-scomclassinstance"

However, we have no idea on what cmdlet or any workaround that will delete the network device using powershell.

Based on my researching, you couldn't delete it unless you didn't discover it earlier.

For more better explanation, please ask on SCOM forum.
