SBS 2008 ADFS Setup ( Active Directory Federation Services Role Missing ) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

I am currently trying to set up ADFS on my windows small business server 2008 standard edition.

I have installed ADFS 2.0 using the wizard provided and am now trying to access the sign in form via url. When I try to visit any page in directory /adfs/ls/ eg. FormSignIn.aspx I am getting a 403 error. I can confirm that the files do exzist in the correct location and that the directory does have the correct permissions.

Along with this, when working through the step by step guide

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc771041(v=ws.10).aspx

On step 2, on the "Select Role Services" page, the "Federation Service" check box is not available. Is there anything else that I need to install to make the "Federation Service" checkbox available when setting up roles?

Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
