Critical Error in Start menu after install KB3156421 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

Windows keep updating my computer with KB3156421. Each time it happens I get a 'Critical Error' in the start menu and ask me to sign out.   I uninstall the update and come back to normal, but every 2 days, windows do again maintenance, install the update..and back to 'critical error'  I am sick of wasting time with this, any easy solution for a non expert?

    Many thanks

  • Hi EcoCap,

    Is the KB3156421 installed well?

We could refer to Kapil.Arya`s suggestion  to have a troubleshoot.

In addition, please open an administrator command line and run "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" to check the health of system files.

If the issue persists, please refer to the following link to hide the update temporarily.

    Best regards
