Client Activity as inactive RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have 3 SCCM 2012 SP1 servers, all 3 display Client Activity as inactive. More than that 2 of the servers are producing the below error that I think may be related.

MP Control Manager detected DMP Proxy is not responding to HTTP requests.  The http status code and text is 500, Internal Server Error.

The DMP Proxy bounce back and forth between working and not work.

I have already tried reinstalling the MP and IIS.

  • I don't suggest rebuilding WMI - especially on a server. It might be easier to have Microsoft support (CSS) have a look at it.

  • Any chance that the *client* was not upgraded to SP1 and that WMF 3.0 is installed on the MP?

  • The Agents where upgraded to SP1 but seem to have stopped logging on and the SCCM console still display the old version number.  WMF 3.0 is installed.

  • I found that the CM server agent’s properties box lists Client certificate as None. The Client certificate is installed in windows; so why is it none using it?

  • Two of the servers have a simple configuration, so I reinstalled the OS only to have it come back up with the same problem. Therefore, I reinstalled again, this time I deleted the machine account from AD and deleted the device from SCCM. After reinstalling the OS and SCCM, both SCCM servers are now running normally.

The third server is the Site Server and is running

    Asset Intelligence Synchnozation Point

    Management Point

    Distribution Point

    Enrollment Point

    Enrollment Proxy Point

    Out of Band Service Point

    Fallback Status Point

    Software update point

    Endpoint Protection point

I tried reinstalling the agent, the installation fails

Setup was unable to compile the file DiscoveryStatus.mof

    The error code is 80041002

WMIDiag finds that WMI is badly damaged. This computer did have a corrupt WBEM repository some months ago. I am not sure there is any hope for repairing WMI, rebuilding the repository made things worse.

If I rebuild this server, Asset Intelligence Synchnozation Point and the Site Server are the most worrisome parts. Any suggestions? The Site Database server is running on a server that is running normally.
