.jsp link issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • we are facing a strange issue is my organisation.

We have shifted one project to another building. the same systems are configured there with different network. all the systems IP is got changed. users are able to access all the applications and web links apart from one link. this link is .jsp link. the problem is that all the users are facing slowness while accessing this link. it was working in their old location with the same  system. we have connected the port directly to the uplink and directly connected to the ISP. but the same link is slow.

any suggestions.. all the suggestions are welcome...

Not enough information available here. Can you resolve the host name to IP? can you ping by IP or hostname? is this a local application you are trying to access? what about a tracert to the host?

  • we are able to resolve the host name of the link to the IP. we are able to access the link with the hostname and IP address. but the problem is slowness. and this is a local application created in our domain.

one more thing i noticed today, from the NSLOOKUP, while we are giving the Host name, it is showing the IP address, but while we are giving the IP address, the host name is not showing....

  • may be a reverse lookup zone issue.

Though that wouldnt account much for slowness.  what kind of connection links the two buildings?
