    I have noticed that there has been a pair of updates from MSE

    Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2761451)

    Installation date: ‎12/‎12/‎2012 8:04 AM

    Installation status: Failed

    Error details: Code 80242016

    and

    Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2762895)

    Installation date: ‎12/‎12/‎2012 8:03 AM

    Installation status: Failed

    Error details: Code 800F0816

    Update type: Recommended

    Install this update to resolve a set of known application compatibility issues with Windows. . .

    THe problem seems to be that every time the above are "automatically" installed that my ability to use the MS Explorer or any web browser for that matter to access the internet giving me a standard error page. THe rest of the computers in the house do not seem to be affected and the connection is still indicated as excellent.

    I have resorted to Restoring the computer back to a version/time before the two updates above were installed. And I have internet connection restored as well.

    Anyone with an idea would help?... as the hassle of restoring the computer back to previous time/version takes time and who knows what damage from repeated use?
