Turn off the display with the power button

    Question

  • Has anyone found a way to set the power button action to "Turn off the display" via Group Policy? Even the newest Windows 10 1607 Power.admx only countains "Hibernate", "Shut down", "Sleep" and "No action" while at the same time as a user i have the fifth option "Turn off the display".

    Thank you.

I have downloaded the newest ADMX file from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53430, import into my win10 1607, didn't find out the "Turn off the display" option via GPO.

Please use gpresult /r to check which GPOs you have applied, then you could use gpresult /h to export these results to an html file then check which settings caused this.

Besides, please help me to check the following location to see if it helps:

If you have any updates, welcome feedback here.

    Best regards,
