I would say that this is the hardest exam I sat last year but I did pass and I have used a combination of the following.
Before doing this I was certified with 70-640 (Active Directory), 70-652 (Virtualization) and 70-680 (Windows Desktop OS).
There are others as well be these are the main 3 I pulled knowledge from in order to pass this exam after completing the MS Press 70-642 training guide and starting on the practice questions from the disk supplied.
As part of this, I used several resources to pull additional knowledge, that main source been
technet.microsoft.com but also for the following.
1. Cisco Press, Deploying IPv6 Networks
2. MSPress 70-652 training guide - Areas in Hyper-V and MED-V based networking
3. Windows 7 Admin guide (MSPress) - Areas in BranchCache and Client/Server Networking
The only recommendation I can make for this exam is to get access to a virtual environment and go over the exercises in the MS Press training guide several times each. This is a great exam because hands on experience makes a huge difference in a pass or
fail.
