windows button and search not working RRS feed

  • hi,  i noticed in my new laptop the windows button and search button are not working. i tried to use the powershell and the patch, however, nothing happened. any help or uddate would be nice... seen here that there are many cases of this...  please fix. thanks...

    For Start Button, see following fix:

    For search related issue, try running Search and Indexing troubleshooter from Control Panel.

    Please right click on the Windows button and check to see if you could access the Control Panel.

    If yes, then please follow the step below to add a new account:

    1. Navigate to the following path:

    Control Panel\User Accounts\User Accounts

    2. Click the Make changes to My accounts in PC settings;

    then follow the wizard to create new account through settings:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/create-a-local-user-account-in-windows-10

    If settings can't open, right click Windows Button and then choose the Run box, type:

    netplwiz

    Press Enter.

    Then follow:

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770642.aspx

    To create a new local account.

    Reply back if any further help needed.
