Actions Tab not working in Picasa Webalbums since upgrading to IE11 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Since I upgraded to IE 11 the "Actions " tab in Picasa web albums has not worked. Google is blaming Microsoft. I have to log into Firefox every time I need to delete an album, change front page etc. Any hints on how I can continue using IE 11 which I prefer to FF - I have lots of albums to do and it is beginning to be a big nuisance.  Others are having the same problem and there has been no solution that I can find in any forum.

I posted this in the MS IE forum and after many suggestions that did not work, it was suggested that I post the problem here.

So you can follow the suggestions that didn't work here is the link

It wouldn't let me post a link until I have been "verified"

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

It's definitely caused by incompatibility issue.

    Please try following steps:

    1. Press F12 to open IE developer tool

    2. On the left side of the page you will see icons. Click on the one that looks like a monitor and mobile phone (Emulation)

    3. Document MODE: click on Documents mode and change it to a number lower to see what's going on.

If it can work fine under any lower version of IE, please use Debug in IE11 to see which script it crashed on, if it belongs to Google, we may need to contact google support to update the feature of this web app.

Inspect running JavaScript with the Debugger

Using the Console to view errors and debug

  • Hi,

Any news on that issue? The problem seems still to be there. Your workaround fixes it for the moment but that's not a feasible option for every day use.

    Thanks
