Rollback action at Powershell DSC in Pull mode RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    Am used push mode in one of my node server, use restore-dsc configuration working fine.

    But Am tried in pull mode, the below error was occurred.(use restore-dscconfiguration cmd)

    ERROR: Restore-DscConfiguration : A PUSH operation was requested without -Force while configured for PULL processing

    Question : If its possible to rollback action in Pull mode ? If possible then how configure it?

  • Hi,

    We can remove the configuration by deploying a new DSC configuration to the hosts that simply doesn't include the appropriate resource references. DSC resources that aren't specified in a configuration script are implicitly out of scope and ignored by the target nodes.

    If you don't mind the manual work, you can also delete all MOF files from the target node with the following path:

    C:\Windows\System32\Configuration

    Please note the backup.

    Then you should deploy a pull mode.
