  • Hi

One of our clients have installed office 2010 home and business on their Vista laptop, the problem is that when she goes to the print options and changes the margin options avaiable it crashes and then restarts, I have tried:

    • starting excel in safe mode - Still happens
    • disabling addons - still happens
    • tried repairing from programs and features- still happens

    Do you have any suggestions?

  • Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums.

Is it crashing when printing directly without inside the Excel? If not, probably it is more related to Office components.  As this forum focuses on Windows 7 specific issues, this inquiry would best be posted to Office forum:

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.  Thank you for your understanding.

Meanwhile, on the system side, we can perform certain troubleshooting steps in case it is due to conflict and bad driver. Please reinstall the compatible printer driver to check. Then prepare clean boot for troubleshooting.
