VLAN ID: Enable virtual LAN identification meaning RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the meaning of "VLAN ID: Enable virtual LAN identification" function being disabled on a VM generation 2 network interface on Hyper-V Server 2016.

What does this configuration currently mean?
That the virtual network interface is in trunk mode and any VLAN can be passed to the VM?
Or does it mean that only the default VLAN (i.e. VLAN 1) can be passed to the VM?

Thank you very much in advance for the clarification.
    Best regards

    Gabriel
